Nhwelmen-Lake LP is seeking experienced Security personnel to join our team.
As Security personnel you will be required to work Seven Day On, Seven Day Off shift work covering the site between 6:00pm and 6:00am daily. This will be a long-term opportunity and will require unpaid travel to and from the worksite.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide security services as laid out in procedures, and as directed.
- Maintaining a security check point and dealing directly with the public for security purposes
- Patrolling vicinity and ensuring work area is secure, as well as following and enforcing guest check-in procedures.
- Monitoring access into site as directed by policy, and monitoring, individuals on site.
- Being alert for offenses, vandalism, trespassing, theft, and damages; and observing carefully in detail after an accident has taken place to report to the police and the security guard’s supervisor.
- Night shifts will require some janitorial and light maintenance work.
- May be called on to perform labour duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Security guard license or training preferred.
- Mine rescue experience or desire and ability to learn
- Exceptional collaboration with other groups and the ability to work under pressure.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Excellent communication.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills
- Previous work experience in a mine setting
- Successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
Location: This position will be based out of the Elk Gold Project which is located approximately 57 km from Merritt, BC. operated by Gold Mountain Mining Corp., a BC based exploration and development company.
